History

Michelle Feld, a dedicated and passionate pediatric occupational embarked on her journey in the Maryland area with a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of children and their families. With years of experience and a heart full of empathy, Michelle established her practice to provide comprehensive therapeutic services tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Michelle’s journey began with a vision to create a nurturing environment where children could thrive and reach their full potential. Her unwavering dedication and expertise have enabled her to build strong relationships within the community, earning trust and admiration from both clients and colleagues alike.

Meet Jillian Middel

History

Jillian attended the University of Maryland to receive a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then went on to Howard University to gain her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She has special interests in sensory processing, gross motor development and relationship based treatment. Jillian has undergone training in DIR Floortime and has experience using Kelly Mahler’s evidence-based Interoception curriculum. Through a combination of evidence-based techniques and her passion for working with kids, her holistic approach to therapy aims to empower her clients to flourish in their daily lives. 

 

In her free time, Jillian enjoys spending time outside with her family, which includes her husband, son and mini goldendoodle.

Meet Abby Ensign

History

Abby has extensive experience working in both public and private school settings, where she treated students with developmental delays and learning disabilities. Her background in education gives her a deep understanding of the need for collaboration with families and school teams to support children’s success.

She particularly enjoys helping children develop handwriting and fine motor skills, and works closely with families to address executive functioning and self-regulation.

Abby holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Touro College, New York. She is trained in various programs, including Learning Without Tears, Size Matters Handwriting Program, and Teacher-Child Interaction Training (TCIT).

Abby lives in Bethesda with her husband, their daughter, and their cavapoo, Archie.

Meet Marci Gutmann

History

Marci Gutmann has been an OT for over 25 years. Her experience includes public school, private school, hospital inpatient and outpatient services with a specialty focus in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). She has also worked in private practice and her favorite areas to work with her clients include sensory integration, fine motor and handwriting skills. 
  
She received her bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Rehabilitation Education. She then went on to receive her master’s degree from Boston University in Occupational Therapy. Marci has practiced in the DC and Maryland area her whole career. 
  
She resides in Rockville, Maryland with her hockey loving family and is a fan of the Washington Capitals. If she is not at a hockey rink or working you can find her walking her dog, spending time outdoors and traveling to visit her kids in college.

Speech and Language Pathologist

Meet Emily Lascari

History

Emily Lascari is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist who is licensed in Maryland for over 17 years in schools and private practice. Emily received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from William Paterson University and her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Maryland. Over the course of her career, Emily has worked in both the private and public school setting specializing in receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language and social skills, language processing, executive functioning, and written language. Over the past 4 years, Emily has led The Dinner Club, a social skills group that takes place in restaurants in the community. She strongly believes that real life experiences, high expectations, and a collaborative approach maximizes progress. Emily is grateful to her husband and two little girls, as they are her greatest teachers.

Meet Heidi Grieser

History

Heidi was born in New Zealand has been a Speech and Language Pathologist for over 20 years. She has an expertise in pediatric speech and language development.  She works with children on executive functioning as well as written language.  She has worked in a variety of setting including public schools, private schools as well as private practice. Heidi believe in cultivating a nurturing environment and understands the importance of collaborating with family members and educators to ensure the most effective treatment.  When she is not practicing as a therapist, She spends her time with her son, two stepsons and two dogs.
